Processing Instructions and Liability Disclaimer for Vehicle Films
Our films are designed in such a way that they do not damage properly applied, intact, and fully cured original vehicle paintwork. To achieve an optimal result and avoid damage to the vehicle or material, the following application and safety instructions must be observed.
1. Requirements for the Paint Surface
- Paint condition: The surface to be wrapped must be fully intact and free from damage such as scratches, dents, scuffs, chipping, stone chips, or rusting areas.
- Repainting & Touch-up Paintwork: Repainted vehicle parts must dry or fully cure for at least three weeks (21 days) prior to application. In the case of repainting, the old paint layer must be professionally and completely removed beforehand.
- Special Paint Finishes & Painted Carbon Surfaces: Particular caution is required for vehicles with special paint finishes (e.g., matte paints, special effect paints) as well as painted carbon surfaces, as these substrates can react more sensitively to adhesives or tensile loads.
- Duty to Check & Test Application: If there are any doubts regarding the quality, adhesion, or curing level of the paint, consult the vehicle manufacturer or a specialist workshop beforehand. For self-testing, it is recommended to carry out a short test application with a small piece of leftover film on an inconspicuous spot prior to installation.
2. Surface Cleaning & Preparation
- Thorough Cleaning: The surface must be thoroughly cleaned before installation and absolutely free of dust, grease, oil, protective wax, polishes, or other contaminants.
- Nano & Ceramic Coatings: Application on surfaces with nano- or ceramic coatings is not recommended, as these significantly reduce the adhesive strength of the material. Application on such surfaces is done at your own risk.
- Solvent Residues: Solvent residues from previous cleaning steps must be completely evaporated before applying the film to prevent bubble formation or impairment of adhesion.
3. Removal Instructions (Film Removal)
- Temperature: Removal of the applied film should only take place at a substrate and ambient temperature of at least +20 °C.
- Heat Supply: We strongly recommend heating the film evenly with a heat gun while pulling it off. This applies in particular to painted carbon surfaces as well as all types of special paint finishes, as these react more sensitively to tensile stress.
- Removal Technique: Carefully loosen at one corner and slowly pull the film back flat at a 180° angle. Sudden or steep tearing off can damage the paintwork. Simultaneous heating facilitates this process considerably.

Compliance with these application instructions is a prerequisite for the proper use of our products.
No liability whatsoever is accepted for damage to vehicle paintwork, carbon components, clear coat peeling, material damage, or consequential damage caused by:
- non-compliance with these application instructions,
- insufficient pre-cleaning,
- application on incompletely cured, repainted, damaged paintwork, or sensitive special paint finishes/carbon parts,
- application on sealed surfaces (e.g., nano- or ceramic coatings),
- omitted checks or compatibility tests, as well as
- improper installation or removal.
The processing/application takes place at the user’s own responsibility.
